For men and women
Don’t spend another day worrying about your pelvic floor – Emsella® can help you see results fast.
Regardless of what caused it – injury, childbirth or ageing – a weakened pelvic floor can make you feel like you’re not in control.

And although it’s common to have this issue, we tend not to talk about it much, which means we don’t always seek out the help we need. The thing is – strengthening your pelvic floor can be fast, easy and comfortable – with Emsella®. Plus, you’ll stay fully clothed throughout. You just need to take the first step.
Imagine how it would feel to solve your pelvic floor problems.
To laugh, sneeze, dance or jump without worry.
To not have to think about where the nearest bathroom is.
To leave your pads at home.
To have a more satisfying sex life – with full function and sensation.
That’s what Emsella® can offer.
How does the Emsella® chair work?
Emsella® uses high-intensity electromagnetic energy at a high frequency to stimulate supramaximal (or full strength) pelvic floor contractions. These intense contractions rehabilitate and strengthen weak pelvic muscles – so you can regain control without any discomfort.
Is it different to Kegel exercises?
These muscle contractions are similar to Kegels but are much faster (the equivalent of 11,000 Kegels in 28 minutes) and more effective –stimulating 90% of your pelvic floor, when good Kegels only target 40%. Unlike Kegels, you don’t need pelvic sensation to use Emsella® and you don’t need to worry that you’re doing it wrong. Just sit back in the chair and relax!
How can this help new mums?
Our bodies work hard to carry and birth our babies, and this can leave us with pelvic floor weakness. Emsella® can help fast-track your recovery – with results in just a few months postpartum – like stronger muscles, tighter vaginal walls and reduced incontinence. You are welcome to bring your children.
How can this help men?
The Emsella® chair can help strengthen your pelvic floor – leaving you with better control over your body. That means reduced incontinence, less after-dribble, better erections and improved sexual performance. It’s especially helpful if you’ve had a prostatectomy. With 40% of men in their 40s experiencing erectile dysfunction, the Emsella® chair is an effective solution.
See how our clients feel about treatment at Body Contour and Restore Coffs Harbour:
"Just completed my second round of treatments with Mel at Body Contour and Restore and couldn’t be happier. After completing the Emsculpt® treatment and seeing and feeling the difference to my core I was interested to try the Emsella® treatment. After having two kids I wanted to regain strength in my pelvic floor, however regular pelvic floor exercises were not quite cutting it. This treatment did not disappoint! The whole experience was so positive. Mel made me feel very comfortable during the whole process, it was pain free and easy. I can now feel a dramatic improvement to not only my pelvic floor, but my overall core strength and posture. I strongly recommend this to women everywhere, but especially mums. I personally think every mum should know about this for themselves after they have a baby. Such an easy and effective way to help regain their strength back after their pregnancy and birth. Thank you Mel, I couldn’t be happier!"

"I had been researching Emsculpt® and Emsella® for over a year and was so excited when Mel opened her studio. As a Registered Nurse I was so impressed with the treatment and the results just kept on giving weeks later. After three kids, my stomach hasn't been this flat in years! If you’re thinking about it, do it, you won’t regret the investment in yourself."
Laura
"Body Contour and Restore is absolutely amazing! Mel made sure I was fully educated before my treatments and was incredibly understanding and supportive! I highly recommend a visit to Body Contour and Restore to try out the Emsella® chair if you are experiencing issues with your pelvic floor"

HIFEM vs EMS Technology
There are two types of technology seen in pelvic floor strengthening devices. HIFEM (which stands for high intensity focused electro-magnetic) and EMS (which stands for Electrical Muscle Stimulation). It’s important to know which one your treatment uses because whilst they both activate muscles, the results are very different. Emsella® uses HIFEM, which stimulates supramaximal (or full strength) contractions. These are stronger, faster and for longer, at a rate far greater than EMS or exercise.
In a recent peer-reviewed study, scientists found that:

● HIFEM shows not only more muscle activation, but also improved relaxation and enhanced endurance.
● There was 100% improvement (pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms completely resolved) in 35.6% of HIFEM subjects vs. only 12% of EMS subjects.
● Overall, there was a significantly better outcome in the HIFEM group (57.2%) compared to EMS group (32.2%).
If you’re seeking support with your pelvic floor, make sure the treatment you choose is as effective as possible and uses HIFEM, like Emsella®.

That’s six years of feeling uncomfortable and out of control.

But you don’t have to wait that long.

You can take charge and create change in a single session.

We love that you have questions!

How long does one Emsella® treatment take?

One treatment takes 28 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

Most patients receive six treatments, two to four days apart, but this may vary following your consultation.

Emsella® is non-invasive – does that mean I can wear clothes throughout?

Yes, you’ll stay fully clothed. Just wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.

Can I come for treatment if I’m menstruating?

No, it’s best to avoid treatment during your period.

Is there a recovery period?

There is no downtime for recovery after the Emsella® chair, and the treatment is virtually pain-free.

A difference in the affected area can be felt immediately after the first treatment, but the best results with Emsella® can be seen six to eight weeks after the last session. Results continue to be seen over the next six months.

Can men and women use it?

Absolutely, Emsella® is great for men or women of any age who want to strengthen their pelvic floor.

What does TGA and FDA-approved mean and why is it important?

The TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) is Australia's government authority responsible for evaluating, assessing and monitoring products that are defined as therapeutic goods. The FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) is the equivalent authority in the United States. Approval from these authorities mean that a treatment has been assessed and found to be effective for the issues it is supposed to help.
